Pizza Grilled Cheese

  • pepperoni
  • Pizza Sauce optional for dipping

  1. This is more of a set of guidelines than an actual recipe. I provided a list of ingredients without quantities, so that you can make each sandwich according to preference. Like it super cheesy? Then add a few extra slices of cheese. Like it super meaty? Then up the pepperoni. Make it your own.
  2. Heat a griddle or your favorite pan (we love to use a stove top cast iron griddle) over medium heat.
  3. Prepare sandwich by buttering one side of two pieces of bread, and then sprinkling the butter with Italian herb seasoning. ArrangeĀ one piece of bread with the buttered side down and layer Mozzarella and pepperoni over the top. Top with the other piece of bread, buttered side up. RepeatĀ to make additional sandwiches, if desired. Place prepared sandwich on hot griddle, flipping only after the bottom side is golden and crispy to your liking. Remove from heat when the second side is golden and crispy, and the cheese is gooey and melted.
  4. Slice sandwich in half and serve hot. Dip in pizza sauce, if desired.
