Ploughman's Open Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 lice rye bread buttered (has to be butter)
  • 2 tsp Branston Pickle heaped
  • 1 handful watercress plus extra sprig to garnish
  • 1 lice ham good quality
  • 1 lice cheddar cheese or Five Counties cheese
  • 2 lices tomato vine ripened
  • 2 lices cucumber
  • mayonnaise a good squeeze
  • 1 cornichons sliced and fanned, cocktail gerkins, 2

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Spread the Branston Pickle over the buttered rye bread and then top with the watercress, ham and cheese.
  2. Next layer on alternate slices of cucumber and tomato and then drizzle with a good squeeze of mayonnaise.
  3. Finish with a fanned cocktail gherkin and a sprig of watercress.
  4. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Five Counties cheese blends Derby, Red Leicester, Cheshire, Double Gloucester, and Cheddar for complex flavor.
