Ingredients

  • 2 fluid ounces vodka citron can be used
  • 1 fluid ounce Cointreau or other orange liqueur
  • 2 fluid ounces pomegranate juice fresh or bottled
  • ½ fluid ounce fresh lemon juice

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add ice to cocktail shaker.
  2. Pour 2 fluid ounces vodka, 1 fluid ounce Cointreau or other orange liqueur, 2 fluid ounces pomegranate juice, 1/2 fluid ounce lemon juice.
  3. Shake well, pour, then garnish with lemon peel and enjoy!

Notes

  • To make the drink even colder, you can chill your martini glasses in the freezer beforehand.
  • Feel free to add more or less vodka to make the cocktail as strong as you prefer.
  • Don’t have a cocktail shaker? You can use a mason jar or any jar with a tight-fitting lid then strain through a mesh strainer.
  • Avoid adding crushed ice to the shaker as the ice will melt quicker and water down the cocktail.
  • Try adding some green herbs for a bit of fresh mint, rosemary, or thyme for an extra botanical note.
  • If you don’t have Cointreau, you can use any orange liqueur such as Triple Sec or Grand Marnier.
  • Use fresh lemon juice and not bottled lemon juice. Get the most juice out of your lemon by bringing it to room temperature and roll it on the counter before juicing.
