  • ½ cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ranch dressing, for dipping

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the air fryer* to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Clean the mushroom caps with a damp paper towel. Remove stems and scrape out the gills with a spoon.
  3. Slice mushrooms into ½-inch strips.
  4. To one shallow bowl, add flour.
  5. To a second bowl, add eggs. Whisk to combine.
  6. In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  7. Dredge each mushroom strip in the flour, shaking off the excess.
  8. Dip into the beaten eggs, coating completely.
  9. Roll strips in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the crumbs stick.
  10. Arrange the breaded mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece. (Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to work in batches.)
  11. Spray the mushrooms lightly with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  12. Cook for 7-9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  13. Serve warm with ranch dressing for dipping.
