Pretzel Broomsticks

A recipe for Pretzel Broomsticks! These broomsticks come together with simply pretzel sticks, string cheese, and chives for an easy and fun Halloween snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 string cheese sticks
  • 9 thin pretzel sticks
  • 9 long chive leaves or sliced dark green leaves of green onions

Instructions

  1. Cut each string cheese stick into 3 equal pieces.
  2. In one side of the cheese piece, use one blade of the scissors or a small knife to gently make a hole the size of the pretzel, about 1/4 inch (6 millimeters) deep.
  3. Gently twist in the pretzel, being careful not to tear the cheese.
  4. Tie a chive leaf around the top, side towards the pretzel, of the cheese. Double tie if desired. Cut off the excess.
  5. Use the scissors or a small knife to cut the bottom 2/3rds of each cheese piece into 3 strips. Turn and cut the other side into 3 strips.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to a day.
