Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons butter , melted
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese , finely shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 6 thin slices prosciutto , cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Parmesan cheese and fine sea salt.
  3. Unroll puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Baste butter mixture onto puff pastry.
  5. Cut puff pastry into 12 strips.
  6. Twist each strip with a thin slice of prosciutto. Place on baking sheet.
  7. In another small bowl, whisk together egg and water. Baste onto the tops of each cheese straw.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
