Report
This rich and creamy protein hot chocolate is so easy to make and packed with over 22 grams of protein! It's the perfect beverage for chilly winter days.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups (12 oz) non-dairy milk I used almond milk
- 1 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
- 1 coop chocolate protein powder I used Truvani
- 1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup optional
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Add all your ingredients to a blender (or blender bottle) and blend or shake until combined.
- Pour mixture into a small saucepan. Heat on low heat until just simmering, about 4-5 minutes.
- Pour into a mug or heat-safe glass, top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Notes
- Non dairy milk: If you're not worried about keeping this recipe dairy-free, you can use regular milk. This will add even more protein!
- Maple syrup: I love the sweetness the maple syrup adds here, but if you want a low sugar option (or if your protein powder is sweet enough on it's own) you can leave this out or use another sweetener.
