Pumpkin Spice French Toast

This delicious pumpkin spice french toast with flavors of pumpkin and all your favorite fall spices is a warm and cozy fall brunch dish!

Ingredients

  • 6 lices bread
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin spice mix
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla optional
  • 4-6 tablespoons butter or oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • maple syrup
Pumpkin Spice Mix
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl whisk together, pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, sugar pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Heat a medium-sized skillet on medium heat.
  3. Dip one slice of bread into the pumpkin spice mixture for about 5-10 seconds, and flip to repeat.
  4. Once the skillet is hot, add in 1 tablespoon of butter or oil.
  5. Transfer the dipped bread to the skillet.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Transfer to a serving plate.
  9. Repeat for each slice of bread.
  10. Sprinkle icing sugar, and serve pumpkin french toast, hot with maple syrup and toppings of your choice.
