Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter
- 1 cup milk
Cinnamon topping and filling
- 1/3 cup butter softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped raisins
- 1 cup chopped apples steamed in microwave until soft
Glaze
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons heavy cream
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 teaspoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 °F.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients. Cut in the butter until it's the size of small peas.
- Mix in the milk until the dough forms a ball.Turn out the dough onto light floured surface and roll into 12 x 8 inch rectangle.
- Combine the first three topping ingredients and spread them onto the dough.
- Sprinkle the raisins and apples over the top and then roll up the dough jelly-roll style.
- Cut into 12 even pieces.
- Place into greased muffin cups and bake at 400 until the rolls are browned and the cinnamon mixture is bubbling, approximately 15-20 minutes.Cool slightly, then remove from the tins.Whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth, then drizzle over the top of the buns. Serve and enjoy!
