Raspberry Coulis Recipe

This amazing easy-to-make raspberry coulis recipe is a sweet berry-flavored sauce that goes fantastic on all your sweet desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Add the raspberries, lemon juice, sugar, and water to a medium-sized pot.
  2. Cook over medium heat until it becomes thick and jammy. This will take about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Strain the coulis through a fine mesh strainer or a chinois.
  4. Chill the sauce until it’s cold. Serve or store.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead: You can make this up to 3 days ahead of time.
  • How to Store: Cover and keep in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. You can freeze this covered for up to 3 months. Thaw it in the refrigerator for 1 day before using.
  • If you freeze this, you may need to reheat and cool it again.
  • This is a great recipe where you can save fresh raspberries in the freezer if you will not eat them before going rancid.
