Red Cabbage Slaw

Red Cabbage Coleslaw is an easy coleslaw recipe that pairs well with any BBQ recipe. A no mayo coleslaw that can be made ahead and stays good at room temperture.

Ingredients

  • 1 head red cabbage , cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey , optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Chop, minced or shred cabbage as desired. Place in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Toss with apple cider vinegar. (If using honey, whisk with apple cider vinegar before adding to cabbage).
  3. Toss with Kosher salt, ground black pepper and olive oil.
  4. Cover, refrigerate and marinate for 1 hour to 24 hours.
  5. Toss again and drain before serving.
