Ingredients

Biscuits
  • 4 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 1/3 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
Topping
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the baking mix, cheese, buttermilk, the 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix until the dough is combined. Use a scoop to scoop balls of batter onto the baking sheet. Place them a couple of inches apart.
  3. Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. While the biscuits are baking, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of melted butter with the Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, dried parsley, onion powder and salt.
  5. When the biscuits are done, remove from the oven and immediately brush the melted butter mixture.
  6. Serve warm.
