Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix plus the ingredients listed on the box
  • 2 1/2 cups mixed berries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup milk warmed

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the box directions.
  2. Preheat your waffle iron. When warmed, spray the waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Pour the batter onto the waffle maker, being careful to not overfill the iron. Cook according to the manufacturers instructions.
  4. Mix the berries and the sugar together in a bowl. Let the berries sit for 5-10 minutes.
  5. To make the cream cheese drizzle, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Whisk in the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Serve the waffles topped with some of the berries and a drizzle of the cream cheese mixture.
