- 360 gms sugar 12.5 oz
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 70 gms dark chocolate chips 2.5 oz
- 1 pinch salt

- 500 gms flour
- 50 gms lard 1.75 ounces
- 50 gms sugar 1.75 oz
- 7 gms dry yeast 2 ¼ tsp
- 250 ml water + more to make batter, lukewarm, 1 cup
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- vegetable oil for deep frying
- olive oil for handling the dough
- icing sugar for dusting
