Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef 85% lean
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese made with whole milk
  • 1 egg large
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup parsley finely chopped, fresh
  • 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ricotta, egg, Parmesan, parsley, breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place on the sheet.
  3. Bake meatballs for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  4. While meatballs bake, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add marinara sauce and warm through.
  5. Add baked meatballs to the sauce. Gently stir to coat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve meatballs with sauce.
