- 1-4 cups almonds whole, sliced, or slivered
- butter or oil optional
- Salt or seasoning ingredients optional

- If using butter, oil, or seasoning ingredients, toss almonds in the mixture until lightly coated.

Roasting Almonds in the Oven
- Preheat the oven to 325℉ and line a large, lightly colored baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread almonds out in a single layer on the pan. Bake whole almonds in the oven for 9-12 minutes, sliced almonds for 6-8 minutes, and slivered almonds for 7-9 minutes. Stir nuts halfway through to prevent burning. You'll know they're done when they turn golden and become fragrant.

Toasting Almonds in a Pan
- Heat a medium to large, non-stick dry skillet over medium-low heat and add no more than 1 cup of almonds to the skillet in a single layer.
- Toast sliced and slivered almonds for 2-3 minutes and whole almonds for 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until golden and fragrant.
Notes
- Nutrition: Information is for 1/4 cup of whole almonds without any oil or seasonings.
- Baking Sheet: Avoid using a darker baking sheet since the nuts can burn more quickly!
- Storage: Roasted almonds stay fresh in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks at room temperature, up to 3 months in the fridge, or 6 months in the freezer.
- Seasoning: If seasoning, you must use 1 tablespoon of oil or butter to coat the almonds prior to seasoning so it sticks to the nuts.
