Roasted Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces broccoli florets (1 bag)
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons freshly grated parmesan to serve, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On the prepared baking sheet, toss the broccoli florets with the oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit until the edges are golden and lightly browned and the stems are crisp-tender, about 14-16 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan if using and serve right away.

Notes

  • Allow the oven-roasted broccoli to cool completely and then transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days in a container or plastic bag. You can freeze leftovers if you want but the leftovers will likely be mushy when reheated from frozen.
