Roasted Chickpeas Recipe

Roasted Chickpeas are a crunchy, savory snack made by baking cooked chickpeas coated with olive oil and seasonings until crispy. The use of garlic powder, nutritional yeast, and sea salt adds umami and depth, making this a satisfying, high-protein alternative to chips or nuts. They are easy to make and can be stored for convenient snacking.

Description

Roasted Chickpeas Recipe begins with rinsed and well-dried cooked chickpeas spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet, then tossed with olive oil, garlic powder, nutritional yeast, and sea salt. The chickpeas roast at 425°F until fully dried and crunchy, providing a hearty, nutty texture with a savory, lightly cheesy flavor from the nutritional yeast.

The texture is crisp throughout, making them ideal for snacking or as a salad topping. The baking process intensifies the natural earthiness of chickpeas while the seasonings offer a balanced taste without overpowering the base.

Store roasted chickpeas in a glass container at room temperature to maintain their crispness. Optional extra drying by leaving the oven door slightly open after roasting can enhance crunchiness, especially if planning to keep or gift them.
