Royal Milk Tea

Ingredients

  • 2-3 bags black tea (Assam, Darjeeling, or English Breakfast) (2-3 tablespoons looseleaf tea)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1½ cup whole milk
  • 1-2 teaspoon sugar or more

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, add water and bring it to a boil. Add the black tea and lower the heat to a low simmer. Simmer gently for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the milk to the saucepan and keep a close eye on it. Allow it to simmer but remove the saucepan from heat once it’s about to boil.
  3. Remove the tea bags and serve the royal milk tea with sugar to sweeten it to your liking.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of tea you use based on how strong you'd like the tea to taste.
