RubySnap Vivianna Mango Dark Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened slightly
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup dried mango cut into bite size pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 410 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until creamy -- about 4 minutes.
  3. Add eggs, one a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in orange zest.
  5. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Stir in dark chocolate chunks and dried mango.
  7. Let dough chill for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Drop cookie dough onto light cookie sheets.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Let sit for 5 minutes before removing to cooling racks.
