Sausage and Gravy Recipe

This homemade sausage gravy is full of flavor and never fails! It has the perfect ratio of ingredients and takes less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 teaspoon sage ground
  • 1 teaspoon thyme ground
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ teaspoon season salt
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Cook the sausage in a pan until almost cooked.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the water and stir until combined.
  4. Add the milk and stir until combined.
  5. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Serve over biscuits, toast, grits, or whatever sounds good!
