Sausage Cheese Dip
Sausage Cheese Dip combines cooked Italian sausage with cream cheese, processed Velveeta cheese, and diced tomatoes with chiles into a warm, creamy, and flavorful dip. Cooked slowly to melt the cheeses evenly, it is ideal for serving warm alongside chips or veggies as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces Italian sausage mild or hot
- 1 package cream cheese 8 ounce
- 1 pound processed cheese Velveeta
- 1 can tomatoes with chiles Rotel, 10 ounce
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder optional
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook it, stirring, until no pink remains.
- Drain an excess fat out of the skillet.
- Reduce the healt to low. Cut the processed cheese and cream cheese into cubes, then add to the skillet with the sausage. Stir until the cheese is almost melted.
- Add the can of tomatoes and Worchestershire sauce. Add the garlic and onion powder if you are using them.
- Cook and stir for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Serve warm with chips, vegetables or crackers.
Notes
- You can prepare this dip in a Crock Pot by combining all ingredients after browning the sausage and cooking on low for 2 hours to keep it warm and melted.
