Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork breakfast sausage tube of
  • cup flour
  • 3 cups milk more if needed
  • salt to taste, sea salt and freshly cracked
  • black pepper to taste, sea salt and freshly cracked
  • Biscuits cooked per instructions

Instructions

  1. Pinch the sausage from the tube into bite-sized pieces and place it into a single layer in a large skillet over medium-high heat; cook until no longer pink, making sure to break up the sausage into small crumbles as it cooks.
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir until completely combined.
  3. Cook for a minute or two before slowly adding the milk while stirring constantly.
  4. Cook the gravy, stirring often, until it thickens.
  5. Taste and season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste.
  6. Turn off the heat and the gravy will thicken as it cools. Serve over hot biscuits. Enjoy!
