Ingredients

  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the carrots into coins.
  2. Add carrots and water to a large skillet (that you have a lid for) on medium heat.
  3. Bring to a boil, cover, and cook for 6-8 minutes.
  4. Remove lid, add butter, salt, and pepper, and stir.
  5. Cook until water has evaporated.
