Sautéed Mushrooms with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces sliced mushrooms brown or white
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Garnish (optional)
  • chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Toss the mushrooms with the soy sauce and add to the hot pan in a thin flat layer. Let cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring them. Then stir and cook an additional 4-5 minutes or until they are soft.
  3. Add the garlic, butter, thyme and oregano to the mushrooms and stir until the butter is melted and the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout, about 1 minute.
  4. Remove mushrooms from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
