Sautéed Shrimp with Garlic and Chilies

This 10 minute seafood recipe is made with plump shrimp sautéed in garlic, olive oil and chilies. Serve on it's own, over pasta or with crusty bread for sopping up the delicious garlic-infused oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp (raw, peeled and deveined )
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 2 red chili peppers (thinly sliced)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • lemon wedges and fresh parsley (optional garnish)

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towel and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil. Add garlic and chili peppers and saute until fragrant, about 30 seconds, stirring frequently.
  2. Add shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until bright pink, turning once. Serve warm garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
