Skillet Cookie

This rich and gooey Skillet Cookie recipe takes it to the next level by baking in a cast iron skillet! Top with vanilla ice cream and your favorite toppings for the ultimate dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 4 6-inch cast iron skillets or 2 10-inch skillets with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and brown sugar and mix to combine ingredients.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Hand stir chocolate chips into mix.
  5. Divide dough into 4 equal sections. Using wet fingers, press dough into each pan.
  6. Bake for 9-11 minutes for 6-inch pans or 11-14 minutes for 10-inch pans, or until golden. Allow to cool for a couple minutes before serving. Cast iron skillet will be hot. Do not touch.
