Ingredients

  • 12 ounces grapefruit juice 2-3 pink or red grapefruits, juiced, fresh
  • 3 ounces tequila
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • ice
  • sparkling water optional, grapefruit flavored
  • sea salt flakes for the rim, or pink Himalayan sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add 1 shot of tequila, 6 ounces of grapefruit juice, 1 teaspoon of lime juice and ice into each glass. Stir to combine, add of splash of sparkling water (if using) and garnish with a lime wedge.

Notes

  • Adding grapefruit-flavored sparkling water gives the drink a refreshing fizz.
  • Freshly juiced grapefruit provides the best flavor; adjust lime and tequila amounts to personal taste.
