Ingredients

Apple mixture
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 4 baking apples (Gala, Fuji, Honey Crisp, Granny Smith, etc.) cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch ground nutmeg
Cobbler mixture
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Instructions

Prepare apple mixture
    Cup of Yum
  1. Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Add apples to slow cooker.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the rest of the apple mixture ingredients, then add the mixture to the apples and toss to coat evenly.
Prepare cobbler mixture
  1. To the now-empty mixing bowl, combine the cobbler mixture ingredients. Stir to combine, then spoon or pour the batter over the apples in the slow cooker and spread evenly.
  2. Place dish towel under lid and cook on high for about 2 hours. If the cobbler topping doesn't look fully cooked, cook for another 20-30 minutes or until the topping is fully cooked.
  3. The edges will be chewy and slight crispy with a soft cake-like cobbler topping. Excellent served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream! Enjoy!
