Ingredients

  • 5 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons garlic , minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 lices Bacon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar , packed

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken, salt, pepper and garlic to the slow cooker.
  2. Mix it up then flip the chicken skin side up.
  3. Wrap each thigh in two slices of bacon.
  4. Sprinkle on the brown sugar.
  5. Cook on low for 8-9 hours or on high for 5-6 hours.

Notes

  • If your slow cooker does not caramelize the brown sugar as much as shown, broil the chicken on a sheet pan for 45 to 90 seconds but watch carefully to avoid burning the garlic.
  • Wrapping each chicken thigh tightly with two slices of bacon helps keep the meat moist and adds flavor during the slow cooking.
