Slow Cooker Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 3 cans crushed tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
  • 1 can tomato paste (12 oz.)
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup red wine

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet brown the ground beef. Drain off the excess grease.
  2. Add the browned ground beef to a slow cooker.
  3. Add in all the other ingredients to the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Stir to combine.
  6. Serve over your favorite type of pasta and enjoy!

Notes

  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5-7 days.
