Slow Cooker Spicy Taco Potatoes
This recipe creates tender slow-cooked red potatoes seasoned with taco spices, red pepper flakes, and a blend of olive oil and butter. The slow cooker method ensures the potatoes become soft and infused with spicy and savory flavors, making a warm, comforting side dish that develops deep taste over hours of cooking.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds potato quartered, red
- 1 oz taco seasoning packet
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter salted
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Spray a large slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker. Stir to combine briefly (while the potatoes are still cold not everything will be coated, but it will as they cook and you stir later)
- Cook on high 3-4 hours, stirring every hour if possible. Check after 3 hours to see if they are done. When the potatoes are fork tender, they're done!
- Serve hot, enjoy!
