Soy Braised Onion
Soy braised onion recipe requires only a few ingredients. The onion is cooked slowly in soy sauce until soft and sweet. Serve with rice.

Ingredients
- 2 Vidalia onions sliced in 1/2" thickness
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Korean corn syrup (mulyeot) optional
- 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over med-low heat, add onions and stir for 2 minutes until slightly soft.
- Add water and soy sauce, continue to cook until the onions are very soft and the liquid in a skillet is almost disappeared. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve with rice.

- If you are using yellow onion instead of Vidalia onion, add 1 teaspoon of sugar as you cook.
