Spaghetti Topping
- 1 pound (16 ounces) spaghetti noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 3 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (16 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
Italian Focaccia Bread Crust
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ksoher salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oiI
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° Fahrenheit.

Spaghetti Topping
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook to package instructions.
- Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, onion, and green pepper in a large saucepan. Cook and stir until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain grease.
- Add the garlic and cook for one minute, or until fragrant.
- Stir the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste into the pan. Season with oregano, basil, and sugar. Simmer the spaghetti sauce for 20 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Italian Focaccia Bread Crust
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook add water, flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix on medium speed until dough forms a ball.
- Add the olive oil to a 13-inch skillet. Plop the dough into the oiled skillet and spread to a 1/2-inch thickness, making sure there are no holes. Season with, garlic salt, and remaining Italian seasoning.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and return to oven. Bake until just golden, or about 5 minutes.
Spaghetti Pizza
- Remove the Focaccia Crust from the oven and top with cooked noodles and spaghetti sauce. Slice and serve.
