Sparkling Grapefruit Watermelon Sangria is a light and refreshing cocktail, perfect for a warm summer day or holidays, like Valentine's Day or 4th of July!

Ingredients

  • ½ grapefruit sliced
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 750 ml bottle Prosecco
  • 750 ml bottle sauvignon blanc
  • 1 cup grapefruit juice
  • 1 cup watermelon cut into heart shapes, if you'd like!
  • 1 cup strawberries stems removed, sliced in half
  • 1 cup club soda

Instructions

  1. Place the grapefruit slices in the bottom of a large pitcher.
  2. Add the sugar and muddle.
  3. Pour the prosecco, sauvignon blanc and grapefruit juice into the pitcher.
  4. Stir to combine.
  5. To cut the watermelon into heart shapes, simply cut the watermelon into triangle pieces, then slice a small section out of the top of the triangle.
  6. Slice just a small amount from the top two corners to make a rounded corner.
  7. Add the watermelon and strawberries to the sangria.
  8. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
  9. Add the club soda before serving.
