Ingredients

  • 750 mL bottle red wine
  • 1 Pink Lady apple cored and chopped
  • 1 orange quartered and sliced
  • ¼ cup orange liqueur (triple sec of Cointreau)
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • 350 mL prosecco (or dry sparkling wine)

Instructions

  1. In a glass container, combine wine, fruit, liqueur, and apple juice. Refrigerate a minimum of 1 hour, but at least 6 hours is recommended.
  2. To serve, pour sangria and a scoop of fruit into an ice-filled glass leaving room to float the bubbles. Top with about 2 ounces prosecco, depending on the size of your glass.

Notes

  • If you prefer, you can substitute sparkling water or sparkling apple cider in place of the prosecco.
