- 250 gms white crusty bread stale and cubed into 5 mm pieces, 8.8 oz
- 150 gms Italian Speck cubed into 2-3 mm pieces, 5.3 oz
- 2 egg
- 250 ml milk
- 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped, spelling corrected
- 30 gms flour and some breadcrumbs if required
- salt
- black pepper
- 8 stock better if chicken or beef, home-made or good quality; ladle quantity
