Ingredients

  • 250 gms white crusty bread stale and cubed into 5 mm pieces, 8.8 oz
  • 150 gms Italian Speck cubed into 2-3 mm pieces, 5.3 oz
  • 2 egg
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped, spelling corrected
  • 30 gms flour and some breadcrumbs if required
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 8 stock better if chicken or beef, home-made or good quality; ladle quantity
