- 14 ounces canned chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Dab drained chickpeas dry with a paper towel.
- Toss chickpeas with oil and seasonings. Toss to coat.
- Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook chickpeas 14-16 minutes or until crisp.

Notes
- Oil and seasonings adhere better to chickpeas that are really dry. Lay them in a single layer on a clean kitchen towel and fold one end over the top of them and thoroughly pat them dry.
- Easily and evenly season oiled chickpeas in a zippered bag by shaking them before pouring them into the air fryer basket.
- For crisper chickpeas, cook longer.
