Spiced Air Fryer Chickpeas

These chickpeas are perfectly seasoned with spices, then air-fried until crispy & crunchy!

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces canned chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Dab drained chickpeas dry with a paper towel.
  3. Toss chickpeas with oil and seasonings. Toss to coat.
  4. Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook chickpeas 14-16 minutes or until crisp.

Notes

  • Oil and seasonings adhere better to chickpeas that are really dry. Lay them in a single layer on a clean kitchen towel and fold one end over the top of them and thoroughly pat them dry.
  • Easily and evenly season oiled chickpeas in a zippered bag by shaking them before pouring them into the air fryer basket.
  • For crisper chickpeas, cook longer.
