Spicy Chimichurri Sauce Recipe

Spicy homemade chimichurri sauce for and dish you want to add additional flavor. Delicious over eggs, tofu, beef, poultry, pork, fish or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Italian parsley fresh, with stems
  • 2 tablespoons oregano fresh leaves
  • 4 garlic large cloves
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes or diced red pepper, crushed
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • salt kosher salt, to taste
  • black pepper kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, pulse parsley, oregano, and garlic until combined, approximately 10 seconds.
  2. Add 1/2 cup olive oil, red wine vinegar, and pepper flakes or diced pepper; blend to your desired texture.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of peppers to your preference. Start with half the amount of pepper, taste and add more to taste.
