Spicy Cilantro Lime Shrimp Recipe

Lime juice, cilantro, butter and a healthy dose of crushed red peppers, make these shrimp amazingly delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Tablespoon butter
  • 2-3 Pieces garlic cloves chopped
  • 7 Ounces Shrimp
  • ½ Teaspoon salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper Ground
  • 2 Tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro Fresh aka Coriander
  • ½ Tablespoon red chili pepper flakes
  • Lime wedges to decorate, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat up a skillet and melt your butter. Keep over a medium to low heat setting.
  2. Stir in chopped garlic and sauté over a lower heat setting. The garlic shouldn't turn brown.
  3. Stir in fresh shrimp and spread out in the pan. Keep on a medium heat setting.
  4. Sauté shrimps for about 2 minutes and season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Turn all the shrimps so that they get evenly cooked on all sides.
  6. Finish cooking shrimp over a medium heat setting. Cook them until they look cooked through but still juicy. Don't overcook!
  7. Take the pan from the heat and stir in lime juice.
  8. Top with chopped fresh cilantro/coriander and crushed red pepper flakes.
  9. You can garnish it too with lime wedges. The dish will look all the more delicious!

Notes

  • Serving size depends on how you use it. If you serve it with rice, 2 servings. If you serve your shrimp in tacos, about 3 servings.
