Spicy Garlic Grilled Chicken
Spicy Garlic Grilled Chicken uses a marinade of mayonnaise, mustard, lime juice, garlic, chili garlic sauce, and sriracha to coat chicken breast cutlets. The grilled chicken results in a flavorful, tender dish with a balance of spicy, tangy, and savory notes, suitable for a main course.
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard classic
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 to 5 cloves garlic minced or finely pressed
- 1 tablespoon Chili garlic sauce or to taste
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce or to taste, up to 1 1/2 tablespoons
- 1 teaspoon honey optional and to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
- 1 tablespoon cilantro optional, fresh
- chicken breast about 1.25 pounds cutlets
- parsley optional for garnishing, fresh or cilantro
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except the chicken to a medium bowl and whisk to combine. *
- Transfer the marinade mixture to a large ziptop plastic bag, add the chicken, seal, and squish contents around to evenly coat the chicken.
- Place bag in the fridge to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat (or indoor grill pan) and grill the chicken for about 7 minutes, or until done; flip intermittently to ensure even cooking.
- Optionally garnish with fresh herbs and serve with reserved marinade, if desired.
Notes
- Reserve about 1/4 cup of marinade before adding chicken to use as a dipping sauce for serving.
