Ingredients
- 300 g Multi-grain flour
- 50 g butter
- 50 g Baby Spinach (chopped)
- 1 Carrot (grated)
- 2 Spring onions (chopped)
- few leaves Cilantro (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds/ajwain
- 1 cup water
- Butter (approximately 100-150g) for shallow frying
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash vegetables. Grate a carrot and chop the rest of the veggies.
- Combine all the ingredients except water in a bowl.
- Knead the dough using water.
- Refrigerate the dough for 20 minutes to set.
- Using a rolling pin, roll into a large disc of thickness less than 0.6 cm or ¼ inch.
- Cut out into shapes you like.
- Shallow fry them using butter on a skillet or a pan.
- Flip both sides. Stop cooking when both sides turn golden red.
- Voila!! Serve warm crunchy spinach carrot Xmas treats.
