Spinach Carrot Xmas Treats

Try these healthy, delicious, spinach carrot Xmas treats for the best savory Christmas snacks. These treats are so yummy with buttery, soft inside, and crisp outside with crunchy flavors of spinach and carrot that you want to go more! It’s the perfect low-calorie Holiday snack!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 300 g Multi-grain flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g Baby Spinach (chopped)
  • 1 Carrot (grated)
  • 2 Spring onions (chopped)
  • few leaves Cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon carom seeds/ajwain
  • 1 cup water
  • Butter (approximately 100-150g) for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly wash vegetables. Grate a carrot and chop the rest of the veggies.
  2. Combine all the ingredients except water in a bowl.
  3. Knead the dough using water.
  4. Refrigerate the dough for 20 minutes to set.
  5. Using a rolling pin, roll into a large disc of thickness less than 0.6 cm or ¼ inch.
  6. Cut out into shapes you like.
  7. Shallow fry them using butter on a skillet or a pan.
  8. Flip both sides. Stop cooking when both sides turn golden red.
  9. Voila!! Serve warm crunchy spinach carrot Xmas treats.

Notes

  • Flip the sides in between to provide them heat on all sides.
