Starbucks Banana Bread
The Starbucks Banana Bread recipe produces a moist loaf made from mashed ripe bananas, all-purpose flour, sugar, and two types of nuts, pecans and walnuts. The texture balances crumbly and soft with a slightly nutty crunch from the topping. This loaf suits breakfast or snacks and bakes to a deep golden brown in about an hour.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup banana mashed ripe
- 2 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 cup pecans chopped
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
- In another medium-sized bowl, use a mixer to cream together the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the mashed bananas, eggs, and milk and mix well.
- Add half of the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the flour is just incorporated. Then, add the remaining flour and the chopped pecans, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and top with the chopped walnuts. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
