Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. In a small pot over medium heat combine the water, brown sugar, vanilla, and the cinnamon stick.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and transfer to a jar.
