Steak Butter

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mash the softened unsalted butter with a fork until smooth.
  2. Add the minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, fresh thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper to the butter. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Scoop the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Use the wrap to form the butter into a log shape.
  4. Wrap the butter log tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  5. When ready to use, slice the butter into rounds and place on hot steak just before serving.
