Sticky Sesame Cauliflower

Sticky Sesame Cauliflower is a sticky glaze-coated cauliflower that is bursting with flavor. This Korean fried cauliflower makes a great dinner or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¼ Cup scallions chopped (the white part only)
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 4 Cups cauliflower florets
  • ⅓ Cup soy sauce or tamari for gluten free
  • 4 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the scallions and cook until soft, around 2 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic cloves and the cauliflower florets and cook until the cauliflower florets are fork tender, around 6 to 8 minutes.
  3. While the cauliflower is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl whisk the soy sauce with the brown sugar.
  4. Add the rice vinegar.
  5. Add cornstarch and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower and cook.
  7. Stir constantly until the sauce has thickened and caramelized.
  8. Remove from heat and finish with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • You can serve this dish with rice or noodles.
  • The sauce is sweet, garlicky, and super sticky, so it’s perfect to serve with a delicate side.
