Stir Fry Sauce
This Stir Fry Sauce combines hoisin, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sriracha to create a balanced blend of sweet, savory, tangy, and spicy flavors. It can be shaken or whisked together quickly and used to add depth to a variety of stir-fried dishes or stored refrigerated for convenience.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a half pint mason jar. Secure the lid and shake to combine all of the ingredients. Alternatively, you can add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk to combine.
- Use the sauce to make your favorite stir fry recipe, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- To make the sauce gluten free, substitute with gluten-free versions of hoisin and soy sauce (Tamari).
- Increase the sriracha amount from 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon to make the sauce spicier.
- For a thicker sauce, add a cornstarch slurry made of 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water, then whisk into the sauce.
- This recipe yields approximately 1/2 cup of sauce, suitable for several servings.
