Strawberry Agua Fresca

This strawberry agua fresca recipe contains fresh strawberries, water, lime juice and sugar, all blended together to make a colorful drink. A quick and easy beverage that's perfect for a hot day!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water divided use
  • mint sprigs, lime slices, strawberry slices optional

Instructions

  1. Place the strawberries, lime juice, sugar and 2 cups of the water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the fruit mixture into a pitcher and discard solids. Add the remaining water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
  3. Chill until ready to serve.
  4. Garnish with mint, lime and fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

  • I recommend using fresh strawberries, as they tend to be sweeter than frozen berries.
  • Agua fresca will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best results.
