Ingredients
- 4 cups diced strawberries
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 cups water divided use
- mint sprigs, lime slices, strawberry slices optional
Instructions
- Place the strawberries, lime juice, sugar and 2 cups of the water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the fruit mixture into a pitcher and discard solids. Add the remaining water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Chill until ready to serve.
- Garnish with mint, lime and fresh fruit if desired.
Notes
- I recommend using fresh strawberries, as they tend to be sweeter than frozen berries.
- Agua fresca will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best results.
